⌈ CHARACTER SECTION ⌉

Character: Felicity Smoak
Age: 27
Canon:DCTV (Arrow)
Canon Point: Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Episode 8/End of Crisis on Earth X Crossover (When she's about to get shot while protecting Kara from EarthX Oliver)

Background:
One
Two
Personality:
At first meeting, Felicity seems like a scattered and eccentric woman with far too much knowledge on far too many things. She talks fast, can easily change the topic at the drop of a hat, and tends to have an issue with putting her foot in her mouth to an almost comical degree. There's no denying that her hacking abilities are practically unparalleled, but as a person, she seems to have some issues with actually interacting with others properly.

Once you get to know her, however, you realize that, while all those things are true, there's also an empathy and almost pureness to her that doesn't relay itself upon first meeting. Felicity cares deeply for everyone who gets inside her inner circle, which is, arguably, an easy thing to do. She hates those that hurt the people she cares about (Case in point, Malcolm Merlyn). Above all else she wants to do real good in the world, she wants to make a positive difference to those around her and those she loves. She doesn't, however, care if she's remembered for doing it, just as long as she can help.

When others are keeping themselves from showing emotional distress for one reason or another, she is there to worry about them, to hug them (even if they don't want one), and to support them in any way she can. She cares about people even if they were just kind to her once, and will go to great lengths to protect them. To that end, she is fiercely loyal to those that are kind to her and those that have gained her trust and have made their way into her heart, even if she didn't like them before.

Felicity's abilities, while not exactly a superhuman skill set or field ready, are almost unparalleled in their own way. During her time at MIT, she was known as the hacktivist Ghostfoxgoddess and created a virus that, to this day, only she has been able to stop. For her, breaking into highly secure places through cyber means is a matter of child's play, and she's more than ready to toot her own horn in this regard. This doesn't mean she looks at herself as completely superior, however. For someone who seems so outwardly emotionally strong, Felicity can be incredibly fragile. Even while she brags about her ability, she knows her limitations and internalizes her failings inside of herself. She worries that others could easily replace her, and that her bonds with the people in her life sometimes only stretch to how useful she is at the time. There is no greater example of this than her relationship with Oliver Queen. With Oliver, she often worries that she is not good enough and that there are others who are better suited to being by his side. In the wake of these worries, she becomes unusually quiet compared to her ever rambling, sidetracking and motor-mouthed personality.
Even so, she tends to remain the light that keeps him from being devoured by the darkness of being a vigilante. For the team, she is also that light. She is the shining glow that lights the darkness of the path that they've chosen to walk in the guise of team Arrow. But she's also far from perfect. There is a darkness that lives at the edges of her light that sometimes creeps in. Her joining of Helix and keeping that knowledge from the team is an example of that.

In recent years she has been able to grow into herself and has learned to become an indispensable member of the team. She has become the one who voices what needs to be said and the one who knows how to take the lead when she needs to. She has become stronger in regards to the relationships with those around her, even more strongly in regards to Oliver and Diggle, the other two original members of Team Arrow. She has become an indispensable strength to Oliver and, even when fighting with him, refuses to leave his side or to stop supporting him.

Even in regards to the other teams, she is the bridge between them and Team Arrow. Often being the one in communication with them, the first to know how to get hold of The Legends, or going to Central City to see the members of Team Flash. She's quick to bring the people who have come through from alternate Earths into her circle of trust and care. Keeping Kara protected when an alternate Earth Kara and Oliver were trying to harm her, or accepting an alternate Earth Wells.

She has become more fearless and field ready, willing to pick up a gun, even if she isn't nearly as good at using it as anyone else on the team. She's more willing to fight for herself, even though others still want to protect her and she lets them do so. Even so, she is still the voice in the ears of Team Arrow, the brains when they need it and the one who gets the information that they need, especially now that the team has become more of a well oiled and better electronically competent team.

Abilities:
Genius level IQ
Genius level computer abilities (building and use)
Electrical engineering abilities
Medical knowledge
Multi-vehicle use
A vast and eclectic knowledge (this includes but is not limited to Science Fiction, medicine, where to buy arrows, figuring out antidotes to drugs, demolitions, etc.)

Alignment: Elios
Most of the time Felicity is the embodiment of the heart of her team. She trusts her people and loves them deeply. There is nothing she wouldn't do for them, and she has shown that time and again. She is quick to pull someone into the Arrow family and is the heart that keeps the team tethered to the other teams. She is also the reason the team has lasted as long as it has. She gives herself completely to the ones she cares about, and even when she thinks she is or wants to be out, she is still connected by the thread that is her love for them.

When Felicity hates it is with all of her heart, and it is for reasons that have a deepness that cuts to the soul. Malcolm Merlyn, Damion Darkh, and Adrian Chase are three men that have held the honor of being people who have gained Felicity's hatred. All have, or had, caused pain to, or killed people she held dear. She makes no qualms about her belief that the world would be better without them in it (to Merlyn's face several times) and even, in Darhk's case, telling Oliver that he had to kill him even though she had been encouraging the other never to kill again.

To be fair, her first thought upon coming here was to invent the steampunk computer. Once she'd done that there was an internet to invent. So she had a hectic time ahead of her. Also, she had to learn this whole emotion controlling thing. That was pretty important ... apparently.

The idea of harnessing your emotions to cause something to manifest in reality seemed pretty fanciful to her. As if someone glanced at a fantasy book (probably an Anne McCaffrey book at that. Or one of the Xanth series.) and thought 'What a great idea for a world.' She didn't buy it. Not really. Things were still too weird and confusing for her to just take everything at face value.

Then again, this could conceivably be an alternative Earth ... a weird one, but one all the same.

Which is how she found herself in the puppy pit, as she was mentally calling it, puppies of all shapes and sizes rubbed against and bounded to her. Yipping as if she were the best thing in the world. It didn't take long for her to fall in the puppy stampede's wake; several of them bounding over her, but several also choosing to stay and lick her face. Trying and failing to move without the puppies whining because their new favorite salt lick was moving she finally closed let her eyes close lightly.

"And this is how Felicity Smoak dies. Covered, in puppies."

Felicity never meant to cause anything to happen to the environment around her. That would never be her intent if she didn't have to. However, it happened anyway. The tiny rumbles caused by her unease of being here. The shaking, localized on her location because of all the steampunk. The tell that was the steampunk, causing her to realize what wasn't there. About where she wasn't.

She didn't even know she was the cause, but she grabbed onto a doorframe to steady herself. The building began to shake when she took hold of the doorframe.

When the manager came out to try to calm her down she couldn't understand what he was trying to say. How could she be causing a natural phenominon? It didn't make any logical sense.
